Description

The AquaIllumination Blade Coral Grow is a slim, programmable LED strip light designed for reef aquariums and coral growth applications. Its LED mix combines blue and white diodes to provide strong output across the 400-500nm range, with an emphasis on wavelengths used for coral photosynthesis.

Blade Coral Grow fixtures are available in seven lengths from 12 to 66 inches. All sizes use EdgeField optics for wide, even coverage and integrated smart control through the Mobius app, with additional support for myAI and Neptune Systems Apex through an optional MXM module.

Coral Grow Spectrum

The Blade Coral Grow uses a balance of blue and white LEDs designed to address the photosynthetic needs of coral. Output is concentrated in the deep blue through blue portion of the spectrum from 400-500nm.

Each LED cluster group contains 24 diodes. Blade size determines the number of cluster groups, with approximately one cluster group used per foot of fixture length.

EdgeField Optics

EdgeField optics are designed to provide even PAR distribution, consistent color mixing and broad coverage along the length of the fixture. The optical system produces a 95-degree spread while maintaining visible shimmer in the aquarium.

Flexible Lighting Configurations

Blade Coral Grow can be used as a standalone reef light or combined with Blade Coral Glow fixtures to add additional fluorescence-focused output. AquaIllumination recommends a 2:1 ratio of Grow to Glow fixtures for maximum performance, although other combinations can be used depending on the required light level.

Blade fixtures can also be used alongside AquaIllumination Hydra or EcoTech Marine Radion fixtures as supplemental lighting for additional fill, spectrum or coverage.

Control and Compatibility

Blade Coral Grow includes integrated smart control and can be configured and programmed through the Mobius app on a compatible iOS or Android device. It is also compatible with the myAI app.

The Blade Coral Grow can be controlled through Neptune Systems Apex and Apex Fusion using a separately purchased MXM module and compatible Apex controller.

Mounting

Blade fixtures up to 39.1 inches include the Low Profile Tank Rest. The tank rest can extend up to 4.5 inches on either side of the fixture, providing up to 9 inches of total adjustment.

Blade fixtures longer than 39.1 inches include mounting clips compatible with AquaIllumination HMS Single-Arm and HMS Hanging Kit rails. Each Blade also includes an M8 mounting thread at each end for additional mounting configurations.

Optional Elevated Tank Mount, Hanging Kit and Hybrid Mount solutions are available for installations requiring different mounting arrangements.
