Orbit 2 Cross-Flow Pump

Description

The AquaIllumination Orbit 2 is a cross-flow circulation pump designed to create broad, horizontal water movement across aquariums. It is recommended for aquariums approximately 20 to 88+ gallons and supports forward and reverse operation for creating varied flow patterns throughout the tank.

The Orbit 2 includes integrated smart control and can be programmed through the Mobius app on compatible iOS and Android devices. It can also be integrated with Neptune Systems Apex through an optional MXM module.

Cross-Flow Circulation

The Orbit 2 produces a cross-flow current designed to move water across and around the aquarium rather than concentrating flow in a single area. This circulation pattern can help lift excess nutrients and detritus from the bottom of the aquarium so they can be removed by the filtration system.

Orbit pumps can also be combined with directional and random flow from AquaIllumination Nero pumps to create a mix of systematic, directional and variable water movement.

Pump Modes

• Constant Speed
  Provides a continuous stream of flow at the selected intensity.
• Pulse
  Alternates between uniform high and low flow levels.
• Random
  Varies pump output to simulate a high-energy reef environment.
• Reverse
  Reverses the direction of pump flow.

Forward and Reverse Operation

The Orbit 2 can operate in both forward and reverse directions. Reverse operation can be incorporated into custom flow programs to create additional turbulence and help move accumulated detritus.

When multiple Orbit pumps are used, they can be operated in opposing directions to create gyre-style or circular flow patterns throughout the aquarium.

Control and Compatibility

The Orbit 2 includes integrated smart control and can be configured and programmed through the Mobius app. It is also compatible with the myAI app.

The Orbit 2 can be controlled through Neptune Systems Apex and Apex Fusion using a separately purchased MXM module and compatible Apex controller.
